I was recently stroling through the local Half-Price Books store when I noticed a copy of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged on the shelf. The book was old and beaten up and I was ready to pass it by when I remembered that Estio would buy a copy, read it, and give it away.
I was inspired (and the book was only thirty cents) by this, so I picked up the book. When I got home I remembered that I already had far to much on my reading list to go back and reread any book let alone a book that is as long as Atlas Shrugged so I skipped a step and passed it on to my neighboor who is an avid reader but had never pick up an Ayn Rand book.
Well to make a long story just a little shorter she was so inspired that she is passing that old, broken down book around to her friend and telling them to do the same and so on and so on.
I guess I have to go back and pick up another copy and start another chain. Finally a chain "letter" that is worth passing on. |

Franky?
I'm shocked ... but pleasantly.
(Hope this is taken the right way, no offense meant.) |

None taken. I took it the way it was meant, as a compliment.
I have really liked Rand since I read Atlas Shrugged at Joe's advice. After that I read Anthem and that really struck a chord with me. I have read that book multiple times, and I have passed that on to other family members that don't like to read as much. The extemely short lenth of it will lend itself easily to any reader.
So even if you don't like reading you might want to pick it up at a used book store. |
