Not sure if there are many 360 owners here, but seeing as this is coming to the PC I thought I would bring it up just to fish for any one that has played it in here.

Saw the game when it came out on the 360, almost bought it, but in the end I figured it would go PC and I enjoy games on the PC as much as I can.

So I waited, and with my luck it just came out on PC this week. I was curious if anyone has tried the game at all.

It's from Bioware, the people who made Baulders Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights, among other great games. It's a space opera RPG that seems to be really good.

If anyone has tried it, I'd be interested in your thoughts, as I think I might pick it up today.

I've played it, and it's EXCELLENT. Like KotOR and Jade Empire, it's just...full of awesome and win. If you liked those two, you'll like Mass Effect.

If you read you'll see it isn't the console version I am interested, I said I was asking about the PC one's silly. I don't even own a 360.

Well I did get it for PC, but my video card was a little out of date, so got a new one but am waiting for the Power supply to come in, cause the new video card needs a 400w psu, and my current one is a mere 250.

It's a direct port. What's going to be different about it?

The fact that it isn't a direct port is going to be the big difference. They added quick slots, improved graphics, allow you to give orders to your men, made a redefined hud, they enhanced mako controls, among other things. From what I can tell they did a whole lot to it.

Bioware never does direct ports from it's console first games. If they bring it to the PC, they go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Well I added a new video card, but have a very low power supply like I said, and my video card is putting it self in a lower power mode to make sure it doesn't overheat, so all my games are woefully slow.

You have no idea how painful it is to sit with a game I got to play for 3 hours, knowing I loved those 3 hours, and not be able to play till I get the new PSU tomorrow.

Never had that problem with my 360! But I assume that you have gotten to play the game because it has been over a month. I personally loved it. Never thought I would crave for in-game dialogue as much as I did with this game. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
