Yeah, this movie totally rocks!
Unless you've got a widescreen as big as a bed, then don't be a loser and wait on the DVD. This is definitely theater material. Downey, Bridges, and Paltrow do a great job. It's scary, funny, and exciting all at once.
Reminds me of my opinion when I left the first Spiderman movie all those years ago. Good plot, good effects, good acting.
Worth the full price theater ticket. |

| I'm not much into the marvel movies, but I really liked Iron Man too. |

Good stuff-it doesn't revolutionize the genre in ANY way, shape or form (in fact, it's rather predictable), but what they did they did WELL. I saw the movie when I was at my lowest I had been in a while-I was persuing impossible deadlines and had a lot of work in front of me. I said "forget this", saw Iron Man, and came out completely revitalized. Something about superheroes and large explosions will always have that effect on my inner child :).

I saw it the day it came out, Indy too. I was amazed at how well, I'm so happy Marvel decided to say FU to producers that were trying to get producing rights for those Marvel movies and butchering them.
Since they took the reigns in the producing department it seems like things might get better, well Iron Man though is only the first example of this, we'll have to see how they worked with Hulk.
I must say Downey though is fricking pure awesomeness. I always liked him as an actor, and Tony Stark wasn't the biggest stretch for him, but he still was amazing at it. |

| I'd say some of the best parts of the movie were just Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark. Not him in the suit, (though the scene of him in that Afghan village was plain bad ass) but his acting. |

True that. Now that I've seen it, I really think of Robert Downey Jr. when I think of Iron Man. Kinda like how I now associate Professor X with Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Ian McKellen as Magneto (though I see him as Gandalf as well. This gets rather confusing). I've been REALLY happy with the casting for the recent Marvel movies, and this one was very satisfying as well.

| FYI Robert Downey Jr. is gonna reprise the Tony Stark role I found out in a Cameo in the Hulk, though that would be intresting to see. |
