Hey, was wondering how much you guys knew on HDTV's. I have saved 1,200 dollars and am thinking of upgrading my Satalite for HDTV as well as my Playstation 3 that can use it.
I was wondering what is good for that price range, the minimum size I want is 32 inch, and I can find some nice big name brand ones for that size at 1,200 but I had been looking at brands such as Vizio (never heard of them till I looked up on hdtv's) and I can get like 40"+ for my price range but I had never heard of the brand name so wasn't sure on quality. |

The prices of these just keep dropping these days. I recommend waiting. Even if you don't want to wait very long I would still recommend holding out for winter holiday sales. Best Buy will like run some good sales on these late in the fall.
Another way to get a great price on tv's is to get a Sam's Club membership. Several times a year they buy a ton of fancy tv's and sell them at half off regular pricing you find in the stores.
Hold, wait, and watch is my advice when looking for these kinds of electronics. Sooner or later someplace is going to just slash the price. |

Isn't that the truth on almost anything, my Playstation 3 I got in Febuary is now 100 off, and if I go to the FYE stores it's 100 off plus an extra 30 off rebate plus 5 free Blu Ray movies.
I will wait for awhile, but I don't see me waiting past the first week in November. I don't need it at this time, but the truth is i'll always be waiting, I get one now i'll find one 100 dollars off. If I had gotten the 100 dollar off one a month latter there is one that is 200 off. It is a sick cycle. |

I think you should be prepared to go as long as January.
By then you will have hit every serious sale period in a year's time. |
