Anyone tried this yet?
Someone told me it was good, but I thought I'd ask around first. |

I've been playing for a little over 3 months.
I like it and think it is a better game than CN.
----------------------------------------------------
EDIT: AE is very much oriented towards the PREMIUM
players.
After approximately 4-5 weeks of freebie playing, paying
removes a lot of restrictions... essential to further growth. |

Joe, did you ever start playing AE?
I'm telling you... tis better than CN.
It is a game... you actually have to play.
Premium will run to about $5.00 US a month.
You will not really need prem for the first month or so.
When you reach the freebie construction "wall"... then you get prem.
I'm in a guild call the Odd Brotherhood.
I believe we are ranked 13th or 14th in the game.
It is lead by a Texan. |

| I guess I should sign up soon. Is there any type of initial setup I should get or avoid? Like getting lead and pigs as starting resources in CN is very bad. |

No, just start your first base.
You construct various things and some of them add to your economy.
You will basically be doing things between four tracks:
1. Construction ---infrastructure & defenses
2. Production --- Fleet
3. Research --- what you can build
4. Commanders --- nifty little helpers
You will end up managing multiple bases, in a universe with many galaxies.
Premium lifts building restrictions and provides many useful in-game tools. |

Concentrate on building things that increase your economy AND your construction/production.
Build Research Labs, so you can have new construction/production options available.
Set a trade route with someone... quickly.
The further away... the better.
If you need coordinates... let me know by PM.
Once you have several bases, you will want to trade with yourself.
This way, you get the credits... both coming and going.
Send me your coordinates by PM... I might be able to send a fleet to help out. |

Joe, at the top of the page, there should be a row of links.
Go to the one that is titled, Tables, this will explain much.
I just remembered, I hope you join the Alpha server... that's were I'm playing.
As soon as I have your in-game tag... I will tell the Guildmaster to keep an eye out for you. |

I started one just to see how it would work...
It says my player level is 4.2 and technology is 18 with economy of 8. |

Brf, if you decide to continue... get in a guild.
The galaxies are teeming with raiders, pirates
and sundry rogues  |

OK.... now I am sad. I could have built up my bases alot bigger before dropping out of protection, if I hadnt been out of town for three days....
So what are you two guys situations? Guilds and such? |

Quote: Once you have several bases, you will want to trade with yourself.
This is no longer valid.
The admin made a change and it is now more profitable to
trade with other players.
I reached 2mil in fleet today.
This should have happened several weeks ago, but, a war
got in the way. |
