| My real name is Juli, I was born on April 14, so I use Juli414 as one of my screen names. Back when I had my first website, I asked a friend for suggestions for a title, he came up with "Error 414 -- Juli Found". So, I use it for the title for most of my blog sites. |

It would be nice to have a discussion topic for responding to the blogs (seconding Darkness's point).
Darn it. Last Sunday I had an online movie date, we watched Star Wars episodes 1 and 2. I saw 3 on my own, then we were able to watch 4 as a date. I've managed to miss out on 5, but am watching 6 now. I hope I can catch 5, but they're no long on OnDemand.
I realize that they probably did a lot of ret-conning (retroactive continuity) for eps. 1-3 to reasonably come before 4-6. I'm glad that the guys who played R2D2 and C3P0 were able to be in all 6. That's cool. Also, the kid who played young Anakin had a lot of traits, how he moved, that were like Mark Hamill in episode 4. Yeah, I like movia trivia, and the little touches show that someone cares.
Oh, how does one do an online movie date? You arrange ahead of time which movie, both arrange to obtain it, either DVD or on tv, and have the IM going. No, it's not the same as in person, but when you're on different planets1 continents, you do what you can.1 Oops, that's what happens when you watch a sci-fi movie while posting. |

Last night I had two of the wildest dreams. In the first, there was a plague of a nasty flesh-eating disease. Those of us who weren't infected were trying to find a cure/vaccine, and going around to put the victims out of their misery. It was grim. The disease took several days, and people were more or less alert the whole time. Unfortunately, we had a cat issue in real life and I was woken before I found out what happened.
Then I had a murder mystery. I was somehow involved with a guy whose father had at least 10 kids by half a dozen or so wives and whatevers. The father went missing, we think dead. Because of all the marriages, not all of the half-siblings knew each other. We were trying to find all the half-siblings, since the father kept in touch with all, it was possible he was actually visiting someone, but hadn't told others. I was going through his computer and address book. He had Google Earth, and had pushpins at each kid's location. Then there was another cat issue.
Sigh.
So you city folks can understand what us rural folks go through regarding technology...
"Can you hear me now?" Oh, and that guy yelling "Bob? Bob? Yo, BOB!" is probably my dad. |

Crud. I had hoped I could skip this year for sending cards. I even announced it in groups where I'd participated in exchanges. So, what happens? People send me cards!
On another front, I've decided to skip the family thing next weekend. I have quite a bit of housekeeping to do that's been neglected for a month or more. During the week, Sunday is my only day off, and with time zones, etc., it's usually the only time that Robert and I can be sure of a decent chunk of time together. By the time he goes to bed on Sunday, it's getting dark here, too late to really get going on housekeeping. But, next weekend he'll be doing his family thing.
So, having two days to myself, when I don't have to worry about work or other demands on my time is very appealing.
Game plan: There are two sets of shelves in one closet, currently the short one is the pantry and the tall has cleaning stuff. The tall is on the left, closer to the counter work area in my "kitchen", and the short is next to some built-in shelves on the end, where I put more cleaning stuff. Hrmm, I have a tall metal cabinet I can put in there, too, maybe...
I'm also looking at putting a dresser in the other closet. The ceilings in the closets never were "finished" when the rest of the room was, so there are bare rafters and easy access for dust, spiderwebs, etc. I currently have some hanging "closets" for hanging clothes, but Nibby tore the bottoms out, and after my weed-out I don't have that much that needs to hang, in fact, most of it can be folded and in drawers.
I think I've seen too many Clean House and Clean Sweep shows where they put everything in the closet, even the office! No, I'm not putting my desk in a closet (ok, I thought about it, but it would mean having my back to the patio door, and needing to adjust my wiring scheme... but that wouldn't be such a big deal... Wait, what am I thinking? Where would I put clothes, or the pantry/cleaning stuff? |

I'm a blogging fool.
Here's a thought I've had. There are three basic commandments. Love God, love yourself, and love your neighbor (other people). The others of the big 10 are based on these 3. If someone has a problem with the word "love", try respect (and not the gangsta definition). If you respect someone, you don't want to hurt them. Stealing from someone is hurting them. When they talk about coveting, it's not the twinge "Gee, I wish I had a car like that". It's plotting to get that car from the person, or wishing ill on the person just because they can have the car. Greed is putting money first. Having a good-paying job isn't greed, but spending hours at work such that home life suffers is, that hurts your friends and family, not to mention your relationship with God, and could even hurt yourself with the stress and such.
Lusting as a sin isn't "Wow, that person is HOT!" It's thinking of members of the appropriate gender only as sexual objects, or spending all your time thinking about sex, to the point that it interferes with the rest of your life. For single ADULTS to have sex with other ADULTS who aren't in relationships, there are several things to consider. There may be consequences. Diseases, pregnancy, and hurt feelings top the list. And, why do you do it? Do you not respect the others? not respect yourself? If those aren't a factor, and all involved are aware of the consequences and are dealing with them, then there's not a problem.
Oh, and we're called to LOVE our neighbors, you don't have to like them. |

When I visited Eddy on Monday, I had some muffling in my right ear. Since we were in Pittsburgh, I figured my ears hadn't equalized, no biggie.
Wrong.
Tuesday night it was uncomfortable, but not too bad. Yesterday morning, it was grim. I called the Dr.'s office and got an appointment for this morning.
I think I got two hours' sleep last night. Every time I thought I was comfortable, my ear started throbbing. Finally, I went into the laundry room, dug out the longies I wore yesterday, and sat in the recliner with a blankie over me. That worked!
Until Mollie decided that Meowmy sitting in the recliner=cuddle time, and stood on my collarbones and purrred in my face. I arranged my pillows on my bed so I could sort of sit up. That helped.
Another problem was that I couldn't (still can't) close my mouth, my mouth would get dry, I'd drink water, then go to the bathroom to pee out the water I'd had an hour earlier.
By this morning, the ear was swollen shut. I couldn't get a q-tip in. The dr. looked in my left ear, said ok, then went to my right side and said, "Jesus Christ! I can't even look in there!"
The doc wanted to put me in the hospital, but he's giving the Z-pak a day to work. I'm to call him in the morning with a progress report, better, worse or no change. If it's not better, I will be going to the hospital for IV antibiotics.
Send fairy dust, good vibes, happy thoughts, prayers, whatever is appropriate for you, I'll take what I can get. |

Whoo-hoo! I'll have completed my NY resolutions less than a week into the year!
Tomorrow I go to apply for my passport, and sometime here I'll go get a cellphone.
Hey, I've been procrastinating on the passport for several years, and the cellphone has been a better option since the end of August. |

In my family, we use the term "epizootic" for undefined minor illnesses, especially those that “are going around.” We pronounce it with the long oo, not as two separate vowels. This is relevant.
I've got a cold, or something. It started with ticklish throat yesterday. My uncle’s wife had eye surgery yesterday, so I had to work all day in the cold market, which didn‘t help. Last night I didn't get much sleep. Between the chest and the nose, I was breathing through my mouth, and just couldn’t sleep until about 2:30 when I got smart and arranged pillows and such to prop up my upper body. At some point, I had gotten up to get some cough drops and hit the litterbox, etc. When I got back into bed, I thought, “Man, I have the epizootic.”
Then I wondered if the correct pronunciation was as we had done it, or epizōötic. I mean, zoology is pronounced with two separate vowel sounds. Then I remembered people pronouncing it more like zoo-ölogy, like there were 3 o’s.
Then I tried to come up with other words with “zo”, and “protozoan” came to mind. The etymologist in me took over… “Proto” means earliest, least modified, “zo” would be animal… Wow! Protozoans are the earliest most simple animals! What a revelation! I fell asleep pondering this great mystery.
I swear, I only take Claritin-D 24 Hour, and since I take it in the morning, by then it had pretty well worn off. If you want me to share with you, come on over, I'll give you this whateveritis.

For the record, Puffs suck. Especially with lotion. I keep getting smears all over my glasses when I blow my nose. I'm going back to plain Kleenex, it's softer, too.
Oh, and I knew that SinuCleanse went in one nostril and out the other, but now it'll pour out my mouth, too. It never did that before... |

You are The Moon
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.
The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
I hear Neil Diamond singing:
You are the sun
I am the moon
You are the words
I am the tune
Play me |

~the kitty bounces around~ Wheeha!
I do surveys for fun and profit. A few days ago, I redeemed points on various sites, and got $40 in Amazon.com certificates, I'd had $15 worth from earlier. Today, part of my order arrived: 201 Swedish Verbs, a Swedish-English dictionary, and the complete DVD sets of Firefly and Revelations.
Sometime in the next few days, the book-and-2-CDs set of Teach Yourself Swedish should get here.
Now, what do I want to get next time I have points to cash in? |

I'm 43, 44 on Saturday. I've been going through a mid-life crisis for a couple of years. I figured my choices were to get a sporty car, a tattoo, run away from home, take up with a guy half my age, or do something fun with my hair. The hair would be the easiest, the cheapest, and the least painful to get rid of when I tired of it. Forgive the blurriness, a 7th grader who was visiting my stylist did the pics, but you get the idea. The upper area is purple, btw.

Remember this from back in Feb of 2006, in the WHAT?!?!? thread? NibbyCat wrote: Darn straight I bit you, I can't bite the guy that stood me up tonight.
It's getting real old. Over the past couple of years, he's whined, begged and pleaded to meet in person. The first time we were gonna go to the fireworks. Just as I'm about to leave, he IM's me, he's gotta take his nephew and a friend to fireworks in Wheeling. Ummm... and I couldn't have gone, too? So, I wound up going with a friend and her kids.
The second time, we arranged to have a picnic. I had had to get some stuff at Staples, so we agreed to meet at the mall (which is halfway, kinda), get some food at Kroger's and go to a park. He didn't show, and never sent a message of apology. I deleted him.
I didn't hear from him for over a year. Then, back in June he IMs me, with a different name, but it's him. So, every so often he IMs me. Then, earlier this week we arranged to meet tonight at Quizno's, about halfway between us. I chose it for a reason, it's a new place I've been wanting to try, and it's at a gas station and I was running out of gas.
At 4:30 this afternoon, I get home from work, and he's spent the day sending messages "Are we still on?" "I haven't heard from you, are we still on?" I replied that I had been at work, and we still had 90 minutes. We talked, he kept pushing in a direction I wasn't willing to promise, I told him to forget it, he was pushing too hard and had pushed me away. I deleted him. Then he messaged back to apologize. We talked more, and decided to go ahead and meet. By then it was coming up 6, we both had to clean up, etc., so we moved it to 7. I just *knew* he wasn't going to show, so I wasn't too disappointed. I got there 11 minutes early, waited in my car 'til a few minutes after 7, then I went in. Waited, read the menu, finally about 20 after I ordered and ate by myself. Hey, I'm comfortable with myself, I can eat alone in a restaurant. I left, got gas, and it was 7:48. I came home... Well, no, I had a mad chocolate craving so I went to Wendy's and got a large frosty, then came home. I log on, curious if he'd send a message. Yup, about 6:48 he had sent a message that a tree was across his drive, he couldn't get out.
So, now he wants to meet tomorrow. Ha. He's gonna have to come here. I'm not going anywhere to meet him. That way, if he doesn't show, I'm not out anything.
Guess who found me on MySpace? I sent a message back that I could be wrong, but he looks like a guy who's stood me up for several dates over the years, is his name (name of twerp)?
Some might get into "fate" since he keeps finding me. However, if you search for single women 35-45 in our area, you aren't going to find many other than me. |

| Several people here and in other bloggy sites have expressed concern about Chucklehead. Don't worry, I'm not going to consider him for anything more than the amusement it brings that he's found me on just about every IM program and dating/networking site. He doesn't even realize it's ME, until I tell him "Hey, we've been down this road before". He isn't stalking me, when he joins a site he just does a search for single women in our area within a certain age range, and I'm about the only hit he gets. |

A week ago Monday, my uncle went in to have his hip replaced. We knew yesterday that he would be released today. He's healing fine, no problems there.
This is Commencement weekend at the boarding school where most of my paternal relatives attended, so all three of my dad's sisters, one's husband and one of my cousins all are here from points north. They're also helping get ready for the "inventory reduction" auction, AKA getting rid of the crap and junk, next weekend.
This morning, about 10 am, my uncle's wife called, asking if I could be right in. I said it would be a while, I had to get the checks signed and make the bank run. She then said that my uncle had called, he was ready to come home. In my head I figured that there were enough people, someone else could go get him if really necessary, but it would take me about 45 minutes to do the errands. I said, "Ah, ok, I'll make it as quick as I can." We did the ok, bye... then real quickly she said, "Oh, by the way, a little bit of news you may not know, your mother had chest pains down at the farmer's market, she's in the ER." Fortunately, we have a plethora of RNs in the family, one had been at the FM, and another had gone in with Mom and was at the ER with her.
So, I finished up, did the errands, and took my time. I debated going in to the hospital, but decided that I would just be in the way with tests. I swung by the FM and talked to Ape, our general employee who was minding the stand. I was still irked both that no one had bothered to call me sooner about it, and especially how my uncle's wife had said it as an off-hand afterthought, so I felt no need to hurry to the market, I got there about 11:30.
So, this evening I go in and see Mom. She had started having the pains about 7:45, just after setting up, and was taken to the ER at 8:15. I was even more ticked, hell, I didn't start my bookkeeping stuff until just before 10, had I known, I could have started sooner and even would have had time to go in myself. |

I got a PM from someone that reminded me that I needed to give y'all an update. My mom was released on Sunday. They still don't know what's wrong, but it wasn't a heart attack. She feels fine, now.
Wanna buy some crap? We're selling assorted junk and crap to raise funds to pay off major debts. There are some captain's beds (4-drawer) and desks and dressers that the boarding school contributed, iffen you have a kid's room or playhouse that could use beat up but serviceable furniture.
The week-long freeze over Easter did in the apples. I'm gonna have to find a real job. There's a new bank coming to town, they're looking for tellers. I'm seriously considering applying, except for one thing. |

I'm on MySpace (Juli414). The other day I got a message from a guy saying that he liked my profile, check his and email him. Well, he had both London, England and Houston, TX for locations.
I was kinda suspicious, and so I wrote back:
Quote: Hiya. You said that you liked my profile, what about it interested you the most?
In your profile you say that you’re in the UK, and that you’re in Houston, TX. What do you do for work?
His reply: Quote: Juli.
Am very happy to hear from you and i am glad you are also interested in me,well,i will like to tell you something about my self.... My name is John Bill,i was born in the year 1977 and am gonna clock 31 yrs old this very new yr.i live in central london . am an artist ,i do paint and do buy artworks like craft ,painting works, fabrics Also i'm Modelling. i lost my parents in an auto crash last two years, so i live alone . am an easy going person ,i like listening to blues musical .am on business trip at present, am in Eropean Country (SPAIN) at the moment . i dont know if you will like to hook up with me in two weeks time when i get back to UK. I am single since i had caught my fiancee red handed in my living room having fun with my best friend..but i have erased that from my mind.i do not want to think about them nor what they did.
Now, i'm looking for a new love,relationship.... But the kind of woman am looking for must be very well responsible, honest, caring, lovely, open minded. As for the type of companion I desire. It is rather simple. Race, ethnicity, and physical appearance in general is not problem. My i I generally prefer woman in the age range of 28-55 bcos i belive age its just a number, but am open to any depending upon their sharing the intimate side of myself with someone willing to do the same. I hope to find a woman that I could possibly have a new life and beginning with when get back home . i will love to meet you in person soon.
Also i will like you to get back to me today about your self....
Hope to read from you soon....
Cheer's!!!
John. There were a bunch of roses scattered throughout the email.
Me: Quote: Hiya. Thank you for the roses.
You didn’t tell me why you were interested in my profile, and I think there’s some misunderstanding. I’m not in the UK, I’m in the USA. Also, I am already in a relationship, I’m not looking for more than just friends.
Ok, I figured he'd get the hint. Wrong-o.
Quote: (Subject: Let's Be Together)
Dear Juli,
Glad to read from you and how are you doing? Okay i understood you.i know you are in USA. But we can be together because my heart has already found it's way you. I want you and no one else. You mean everything to me. I think we should try and make this work. You have to know you're the one, and only one I want. Not only are you perfect for me, you're the perfect friend and I hope we can and will be more. I could never ask for better then what we have had. I am hoping you're feeling the same way because my heart is set on you, and only you, baby.
Love Always,
John.
Holy moly! Someone, please tell me where my words were secret code for "I want you"!
I'm annoyingly monogamous. I have a very hard time flirting with a man I know is in a relationship, and when my interests are engaged, I don't even think about other men as "prospects". It doesn't help his case that he has problems with the English language. And as far as I can tell, he still hasn't said what it is about my profile that flipped his switch. I want to know so I can turn it off.
How do these people find me? |

| Helpful hint. If you need to call relatives to tell them that a family member has been killed, how's about waiting until AFTER you get all the details? It's not helping us to sit here stewing, wondering what happened, you'll have to call us back, anyhow when you get details. |
