Not sure how big of a RPG fanbase is here, I know you guys liked Oblivion and Morrowind. The new instalment of Neverwinter Nights is comming this tuesday, if you don't Neverwinter Nights well it was a D&D game that basicly ushered in the toolset for RPG's to make there own world. something the Elder Scrolls and a few others have picked up on.
I was just curious if anyone else like me really liked the first game and or were looking foward to the new one. |

Yeah that is true, but it didn't break through the barrier as wide as NWN, after that it seemed to become standard for PRG's to try and include them. TES had been including the thing for awhile, but TES Daggerfall and Arena where never as popular as Morrowind and Oblivion.
Both Morroiwnd and NWN are basicly the people who sparked the massive popularity of making your own thing. NWN's is a little bit diffrent considering you don't really make mods in the lands of Fauren, unlike the TES games where you make aditional stories inside the gigantic world.
NWN's you simply make your story, design it, and tell it where to go. |

Well after the pre-order rush, (wal-mart screwed me over on my copy) I finally got a copy at Gamestop and started playing. It is a good game so far, but something still bugs me, the graphics.
I mean this game has min specs of...
Processor 2.4 ghz
Video Card 128 MB, Shader Version 2.0
Ram 512 MB
Recommended
Processor 3.0 ghz
Video Card 256 MB, Shader 3.0
Ram 1 GB
Now those specs arn't THAT uncommon on some of the newer games comming out, though most min processor speeds are still 2.0, but what is odd is the game, which came out nearly 6? 8? something like that months after Oblivion, NWN 2 looks bad in comparsion, like 2 year old graphics. For a game needing such high specs I expected at the most trees, grass, water, buildings, ect to look like Oblivion, and I would hope the people too.
While the game doesn't inheritly look bad, it just seems odd.
Besides it's unsual specs though so far it has been an enjoyable ride for anyone who loves D&D or just RPG's. The game uses D&D 3.5 rules, for anyone whoever kept track. |

Well seeing as I have almost beat the game, time to re-start :P, I seem to always do that cause I get to the end and think of all the ways the game could have gone ya know.
Anyway if anyone likes D&D world RPG's with out all the rules I recomend this game, good story, fun, it has some flaws but for the most part has been vastly entertaining. |

I like the game, except for the fact it's completely lagging because of the graphics, while I have the requirements and I don't see any good results :/

As far as I can tell your not going to see the best results, I have a ATI Radeon x1600 Pro card, a Pentium 3.0 HT cpu, 2 gb's of ram, 100 gb's of free hardrive space, and a 16x DVD drive.
I have mostly more than enough to play the game, after the 1.03 patch I got decent FPS, about 30 outside, 40 inside, it was half of that before the patch for me.
Overall though I enjoy the game, a good story, fun gameplay, it's an overall very enjoayble game. |

I upgraded my card to an X1600pro as well, since then it has run pretty well.
I lub Bioware and Obsidian rpgs. This one was great qua story, eagerly awaiting my next shot, which will probably be Jade Empire (and in the near future, Kotor III!!!!!!!!!!!)

I still havn't finished this game, stupid patching errors I couldn't get the game to ever work 100% perfectly and had about a week of trial error patch re-install. Got it working and am gonna try and finish it.
On the plus side the Expansion is set to come out this fall, which is bassed in Rashaman, don't know much about the place expect for the charecter in Baulder's Gate I and II.... forgot his name he was a ranger with an animal companion gerbel named Boo was from there, very spirtual place with warriors haveing with gurdians.
From what I know very spirtual bassed area that could be a cool play.
On topic of Jade Empire any good? I wanna try that and I can't wait for KOTOR III but who knows when it will appear, the Console game Forces Unleashed is comming which has impressive engine which could be cool to see in KOTOR III, thing is by the time it comes out odds are i'll need a new PC. |
